Light and Easy Stovetop Marinara with CHicken Meatballs Recipe Noreen's Kitchen

I hope you give this creamy cilantro and lime dip a try sometime soon and I hope you love it!

Happy Eating!

This is as simple as tossing everything in a bowl and mixing it up.  Stir really well, taste for seasoning and if you need add some salt or even a bit more lime juice.  Totally make this your own!  Don't like the Mexican vibe?  Turn this into an Italian style creamy dip by mixing the sour cream with Italian seasoning, fresh chopped basil, Italian parsley and some fresh chopped Rosemary along with the onion.  Add in some parmesan cheese and a squeeze of lemon and boom, creamy Italian dip!  You are the only one who can limit the possibilities!

I have used the Badia Sazon Tropical spice blend.  This is one of many blends from this brand that I absolutely love.  I get mine from Food Lion because they seem to have the best selection, but local markets and Latin markets will also have this.  You can also get it online.  I will leave a shopping list link below.

After you mix this up, allow it to sit in the fridge for at least a couple hours.  If you are making this for a get together or event, make it a day or two in advance.  When you get ready to serve, just pop it into your serving dish and top with some fresh cilantro and a little wedge of lime so everyone knows what is inside.  The flavor reminds me of a fresh green onion dip but deeper with the addition of the cilantro and lime.  This just hits the spot!

Hi!  I'm Noreen, wife, mother of two amazing, almost grown, daughters, content creator, cook, baker and sister in Christ. Welcome to my Kitchen!   I hope you stick around, enjoy the recipes and share them with those you love!

1 Cup good quality mayonnaise
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Today I wanted to share a delicious creamy cilantro lime dip that is just as comfortable being served for company as it is being put in a lunch box with some of those veggies we prepped earlier this week!  This creamy dip is easy to throw together and most likely, you have what you need on hand to whip this up at a moment's notice!  Serve this with cut vegetable crudite or tortilla or potato chips or use this as a dipper for your kid's lunch veggies!  I think this would even be delicious on a baked potato!  #endofsummer #backtoschool #noreenskitchen

This dip is easy and you could even switch it up more to suit your taste or a particular flavor profile that you might be going for.  It all starts with sour cream or Greek yogurt.  Then I added chopped cilantro, chopped green onions, the juice and zest of one lime a clove of minced garlic and a bit of my favorite Latin seasoning.  Badia Sazon Tropical.  More about that later.
